Covenent of Antartica Time Dilation Orb and an Orc

So im going to try out this blogging thing for my war gaming hobby. I started this up as something to do to keep me into painting without getting burnt out. Plus a good friend of mine is also doing this. I am currently playing or have forces for Warhammer 40k (3 Armies), Warhammer Fantasy (2 Armies), Blood Bowl, Dystopian Wars, Necromunda, Infinity, Warmachine, Hordes, Flames of War and Federation Commander. If anyone wishes to see any of the forces or models from a game system I'll post some pictures. I'll probably slowly show pictures of entire forces as I go as well.

Here are some pictures of a Covenant of Antarctica Time Dilation Orb, from the game Dystopian Wars. I recently bought into the game after a long time and decided to go with the CoA because of there alien look. Dystopian Wars is a very fun war game which I recommend. I wanted to go for a watery/icy look, since the CoA are located in Antarctica.So that's why the water around the orb looks close to the orb itself. In person tho the orb is quite a bit whiter than the water.

While I know I'm not the best painter around, I think I'm decent at least. Any comments or criticism is always welcome as I'm always looking to improve. My current painting style is mainly washing and dry brushing with some edging.

Here are pictures of an orc model from Warhammer Fantasy that was painted quite a while ago.

 Cant really tell from the picture due to a crappy camera but the skin as a lot more depth than it looks.
